VIO ePacket policy & terms
Applies to the routes above (US · Standard · Clothing), effective from 1 November 2026. ePacket Extra has its own policy on the ePacket Extra page.
1. RATES & TAXES
- Currency: VND. Rates exclude VAT.
- The fuel surcharge (FSC) is included in the rates.
- Shipments to the EU require a valid IOSS number; the destination country may levy import taxes/fees (DDP/DDU).
2. EU CUSTOMS FEE €5 PER HS CODE — CHARGED ON TOP OF THE RATES (from 1 November 2026)
- From 1 November 2026, parcels to the 27 EU member states incur €5 (≈ 150,000 VND) per HS code: €3 Customs Duty (Temporary Duty) + €2 Handling Fee (Permanent Processing Fee). The rates in this rate card do NOT include this fee.
- How it is counted: items in one parcel sharing the same 6-digit HS code, description and origin = 1 HS code. Example: 3 identical T-shirts = 1 HS code (€5); a T-shirt + jeans + a handbag = 3 HS codes (€15 ≈ 450,000 VND).
- Not applicable to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway or Israel. The fee follows the number of HS codes declared; if missing or wrong HS codes lead customs to reassess, the customer bears the difference and any penalties.
- The fee is non-refundable if a parcel is returned, destroyed or not delivered.
3. IOSS & EU VAT (from 09:00, 22 June 2026)
- Customers using their own IOSS must ensure it remains valid; all risks arising from an invalid IOSS rest with the customer.
- If the customer's IOSS expires, VIO may use a third-party IOSS to pay VAT without prior notice; the FULL VAT plus a 2% service fee on the VAT will be charged.
- Parcels valued at €150 / USD 155 or above are not accepted (all 27 EU member states). USA: maximum USD 250 per parcel.
4. WEIGHT & TRANSIT TIME
- Chargeable weight = max(actual weight, volumetric weight). Volumetric = L × W × H (cm) / 5000. All Clothing lines (including US-Clothing) are charged on actual weight only, with no volumetric weight.
- Rates are listed up to 5kg (0.1kg steps up to 2kg, then 0.5kg steps). For shipments above 5kg, please contact VIO.
- Transit times are estimates in working days per country group (shown in each column subheading), excluding weekends, holidays and force majeure.
5. WEIGHT & SIZE LIMITS
- Standard/Clothing: per line limits.
- Maximum size 60×50×40 cm; for USA/BE/IE/NL: 60×40×35 cm. Irregularly shaped items: 530,000 VND surcharge per parcel.
6. US LINES — LAST-MILE CARRIERS & SPECIFIC RULES
- US-Saver: last-mile delivery by USPS or UniUni.
- US-Standard: last-mile delivery entirely by USPS.
- US-Clothing: apparel and textiles only; charged on actual weight only, no volumetric weight; items must be packed in poly mailer bags (no cartons).
- US-Saver — not accepted: food, controlled knives, items containing liquids or powders, all cosmetics, raw wood or wood-containing products, dangerous goods (lighters, flammable or explosive items, etc.), laser pointers, helmets, FDA-regulated products and adult products. Built-in and packed-with batteries are accepted; loose batteries are not.
- US-Saver: one parcel per shipment; maximum 10 kg; minimum size 15×10×0.7 cm, maximum 55×40×35 cm.
- US-Saver: no returns and no re-delivery; undelivered parcels are destroyed by the last-mile carrier. Proof of delivery (POD) is not provided.
7. REMOTE AREAS & ADDRESSES
- Amazon warehouse addresses and military addresses are not accepted. USA: APO/FPO addresses are not accepted; a remote-area surcharge applies (check the ZIP code before shipping).
- Sweden: remote-area surcharge 300,000 VND/parcel. United Kingdom: remote-area surcharge 37,000 VND/parcel. Switzerland: no delivery to MyPost24 / Postfach / PO BOX addresses, etc.
8. RETURNS & RE-DELIVERY
- Return of shipments from overseas back to Vietnam is not supported.
- Switzerland, France: re-delivery fee 180,683 VND/parcel (Switzerland allows one re-delivery only). United Kingdom: 144,546 VND/parcel, within a 14-day window (parcels are destroyed after this period).
9. PROHIBITED ITEMS & OTHER NOTES
- Do not ship prohibited, dangerous, counterfeit or sensitive goods. Declare specific product names; providing the sales link and HS code speeds up customs clearance.
- The recipient name must not contain a company suffix (Ltd, GmbH, SRL, etc.) to avoid being classified as B2B and taxed.
- Compensation: claims within 30 days (before warehouse check-in) / 60 days (after check-in); limited to direct losses caused by VIO; several exemptions apply (see terms).
- Track shipments at tracking.vioshipping.com. By using the service, the customer is deemed to have read and accepted all terms.
